The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has contracted CNC Technologies to provide a law enforcement mission suite plus integration for its Beechcraft King Air 200.
CNC will equip the King Air 200 with a Teledyne FLIR Star Safire 380X-HD camera/thermal imager as well as a tactical flight officer (TFO) console containing a Shotover ARS-750 mapping system and MacroBlue monitors. The completion work will be performed by AeroBrigham in Decatur, Texas, which has previously performed completion work on two FWC Bell 505s and one Cessna 208 Caravan.
CNC will provide its 24/7/365 service, support and training to FWC staff to support the deployment of the complex aircraft mission suites. The advanced technology in the aircraft will assist FWC in performing a wide variety of wildlife, law enforcement, and search and rescue missions across the state of Florida.
“We are thankful to be continuing our work with FWC,” says Ed Van Winkle, vice president of law enforcement sales and OEM projects at CNC Technologies. “The completed King Air 200 will complement its existing aircraft fleet, and we look forward to supporting its missions into the future.”
Headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida, and established in 1999, the FWC manages fish and wildlife resources. The FWC Division of Law Enforcement is responsible for patrol and investigative law enforcement services over more than 8,400 miles of coastline, 13,200 sqm of offshore waters and more than 34 million acres of land.
