Gözen teams with ForeFlight for trip support
ForeFlight has recently announced several key product updates including the release of its highly anticipated Tracking product and the introduction of ForeFlight Trip Support. Gözen is a key signing in Europe.

ForeFlight has entered into a collaboration with Turkish representation and supervision company Gözen Air Services, which will use ForeFlight Trip Support to enhance its operations.

With the integration of Trip Support into its operations, Gözen enhances its capabilities substantially. As a subsidiary of Gözen Holding, a leading aviation conglomerate in Eurasia, Gözen Air Services has been adapting various ForeFlight services and products for several years. The newest addition enables the company to offer even more robust support across an extensive fleet of over 60 aircraft under permanent support.

‍ForeFlight Trip Support is a worldwide provider of customised trip planning solutions. Its experienced team delivers comprehensive trip planning, fuelling and ground handling services. This flexibility allows customers to select specific services or let the Trip Support team plan every aspect of their flights.

Derin Gözen, board member, Gözen Air Services, remarks: “We will soon celebrate the 50th birthday of our group, and our commitment to business aviation has always been central to our mission. We are very pleased with this collaboration with ForeFlight as it clearly strengthens our legacy and contributes to our commitment to continuously improving our services."

Business development manager Mert Yağcı adds: “We know by heart that being a forerunner in business aviation requires a tradition of continuous innovation. I am confident that our collaboration with ForeFlight Trip Support will lead us to ambitious digital initiatives in the near future.”

ForeFlight CEO Tim Schuetze comments: “We are excited to support Gözen Air Service's wide-ranging operations. This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing top-tier solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety. I look forward to seeing how we can continue to work together in the future.”

ForeFlight has recently announced several key product updates including the release of its highly anticipated Tracking product and the introduction of ForeFlight Trip Support.

ForeFlight Tracking offers flight planners real-time flight status and progress information directly in ForeFlight Dispatch. Tracking provides this information in three separate views: a Flights List showing a progress bar for each flight being tracked, a Tracking Map displaying the location of each tracked flight and a Details page showing the location of any particular flight that also includes speed and altitude charts. The map views also integrate ForeFlight's extensive map layers, allowing operators to see weather radar and other forecast conditions that could impact any particular flight.

Tracking, which was previewed at NBAA BACE in 2023, is available as a per-tail add-on subscription and is offered in two tiers: Standard Coverage includes ground-based ADS-B coverage provided by AirNav Systems. Enhanced Coverage adds space-based ADS-B tracking from Aireon and ARINC, with support from more datalink providers coming soon.

“Following the movements of aircraft while also planning other flights is no simple task,” says Kelsey Pittman, ForeFlight's acting vice president of business aviation. “With ForeFlight Tracking, staying aware of each flight's status is easier than ever. Customers have been asking us for this capability since it was announced last year because they knew it would help operational efficiency.”

ForeFlight Trip Support brings the decades of experience of the Jeppesen International Trip Planning Services (ITPS) team closer to ForeFlight customers. Trip Support offers comprehensive trip planning, fuelling, ground handling services and more. It is highly customisable; operators can select and pay for only the services they need.

“We're excited to launch ForeFlight Trip Support,” notes Mike Bishop, director of flight support services at Boeing Global Services. “ITPS, and now Trip Support, has never been a one-size-fits-all solution. We recognise that some operators like to have control over most aspects of flight planning while only utilising us for specific needs, while others have our team perform every aspect of flight planning from beginning to end. This tighter integration between ForeFlight and our experienced team will allow us to serve our customers better and provide them with a seamless flight planning experience from beginning to end.”

In addition to launching Tracking and Trip Support, ForeFlight's Oceanic Plotting capability, launched in late 2023 and has received positive reviews from pilots who have adopted it. Oceanic Plotting enables pilots to record position reports and GNE checks within ForeFlight and then stores them in a master flight log, which is automatically synced and archived within ForeFlight Dispatch upon landing.

ForeFlight CEO Tim Schuetze notes: “Between the launch of Tracking and Trip Support, and the large number of customers that have adopted our Oceanic Plotting solution in the last months, ForeFlight's all-in-one solution for business aviation is more popular than ever. More operators are switching to ForeFlight every day because our seamlessly integrated solutions make their jobs easier and safer.”
