CE marking certification puts Spectrum Aeromed into Europe
The fully CE marked medical solution includes all components from stretcher assemblies to medical devices, ensuring that every aspect of the medical suite meets CE requirements.

Spectrum Aeromed's devices have received CE marking, confirming they meet the EU's stringent directives regarding health, safety and environmental protection standards. The journey to certification involved close collaboration with various regulatory experts and took approximately 18 months to complete. "The process to achieve CE marking was demanding, involving extensive product testing and quality assurance to meet these high standards," says VP of international sales Thomas Redder.

The newly certified medical devices, the stretcher solution and the electric patient loader and its accessories are specifically designed for seamless integration into the Falcon 900 aircraft. Designed to prioritise patient safety and care, the solution simplifies patient transitions from the ground ambulance to the aircraft. By reducing manual strain on operators, the air ambulance setup enhances safety and efficiency. These devices not only improve medical capabilities but also empower air ambulance services across Europe with advanced, compliant solutions.

With the complete CE marked solution, Spectrum Aeromed is poised to expand its reach within the European market, offering products that meet local regulatory requirements and enhance operational safety and efficiency. "This complete certification not only broadens our market presence but also lays a solid foundation for our expansion into other platforms," adds Redder.

Looking ahead, Spectrum Aeromed is committed to further advancing its offerings and exploring additional certifications to meet the diverse needs of the global air ambulance industry.

Spectrum Aeromed is excited to showcase its latest innovations at EBACE from booth X49, where the team will be available to highlight their solutions and discuss future developments in air ambulance interior designs.
