Dubai-based aircraft brokerage and dealership ArcosJet considers the Middle East, and the UAE in particular, to be one of the most promising markets for advanced air mobility and expects the region to become a launching pad for eVTOLs in the near future. ArcosJet is the exclusive authorised dealer for private sales of the Lilium Jet in the UAE, Israel and Cyprus.
Speaking at a panel discussion during Corporate Jet Investor Dubai 2024 on how Middle Eastern advanced air mobility is expected to develop, CEO and founder Mikhail Alenkin said the UAE today is the world's main hub for innovation, finance, transportation and finding solutions to environmental issues. The current economic conditions, the concentration of HNWIs, the high level of urbanisation and, of course, the interest in advanced sustainable technologies are the key drivers for the eVTOL market development in the region.
The favourable climate for the emerging eVTOL market is also supported by the notable movement of society and government towards a more sustainable future in the region.
"ArcosJet sees eVTOLs in general, and the Lilium Jet in particular, as a very effective tool for creating a modern, high-tech and sustainable system of advanced air mobility and last mile transportation in the region. Today, the Lilium Jet is one of the most remarkable and significantly developed programs when it comes to eVTOLs. The technical solutions, scope of work and goals are very impressive and convincing," says Alenkin.
The ArcosJet team anticipates that eVTOLs may initially emerge in the UAE as a complement to existing helicopter services, which are currently considered underdeveloped. The Lilium Jet, safe and comfortable by design, is considered one of the most competitive eVTOLs in the advanced air mobility niche.
The company is also investing in developing an ecosystem for the operation and maintenance of helicopters and eVTOLs in the UAE. This will enable ArcosJet to offer its customers a quality and comprehensive product covering all their needs related to the operation of these revolutionary aircraft.
