Comlux, the exclusive partner of Airbus for the first 15 ACJ TwoTwenty aircraft, has successfully completed a second ACJ TwoTwenty cabin at its completion centre in Indianapolis, Indiana. The resulting aircraft combines intercontinental range, unmatched personal space and modern technology, which is said to position it as the most advanced high end corporate jet on the market.

Executive chairman and CEO Richard Gaona says: “Just eight months after the first ACJ TwoTwenty left Comlux’s completion and maintenance centre in Indianapolis and entered into service, the second one is being delivered to the end client now, while cabin outfitting of the third is in full swing and planned to be finished by end of 2024. In addition to that, the fourth is arriving as a green aircraft in a few days, and we will be commencing its cabin outfitting as soon as it reaches our facilities. From 2025 onwards, we are targeting to deliver four to six ACJ TwoTwenty cabins per year.

“The ACJ TwoTwenty that is leaving our facilities today will be operated by Comlux Aviation, which accentuates our ability to provide Comlux clients not only with cabin outfitting but also with aircraft operation services.”

Chadi Saade, president Airbus Corporate Jets, adds: “Our latest ACJ TwoTwenty is a game changer on the extra large business jet market, bringing a unique value proposition with best in class comfort and intercontinental range. ACJ is connecting business and communities across the world, with unmatched economics supported by modern aircraft and cabin technologies. Congratulations to our partner Comlux for the fabulous work achieved on this second cabin. The best keeps getting better.”

Comlux has also established a collaboration with Pratt & Whitney to provide GTF PW1500G engine maintenance services. These have been curated to support operators based on over three million engine hours of commercial operation, but at the same time, Airbus says the performance of the PW1500G engines installed on the ACJ TwoTwenty aircraft already in service has been excellent.

Comlux Aviation CEO Andrea Zanetto says: “In private aviation, customers like to have a full support package for their aircraft operation. Airbus is offering such an option for the airframe, Comlux for the cabin, and this collaboration with Pratt & Whitney is the complement we need to make all customers comfortable when buying the ACJ TwoTwenty.”

Nick Tomassetti, P&W vice president of sales and marketing, adds: “Pratt & Whitney GTF engines offer unmatched fuel efficiency and range, as well as a 75 per cent reduction in noise footprint. We are supporting Comlux and its customers with engine maintenance services for the ACJ TwoTwenty, a unique aircraft offering in the business jet landscape.”
