The Government of Gujarat's Department of Science and Technology is to explore the development of an eVTOL ecosystem with SkyDrive ahead of a possible entry into service of SD-05 aircraft within the State of Gujarat by 2027.

In addition to developing an advanced air mobility ecosystem, SkyDrive will carry out feasibility studies into the creation of new business related to its eVTOL aircraft in the state as part of the cooperation.

Tomohiro Fukuzawa, SkyDrive CEO, says: "SkyDrive and Suzuki have been collaborating in the business development of eVTOLs in India and have developed suitability use cases. We are delighted to enter into the partnership with the most innovative state in India, Gujarat, which is also the home of the Prime Minister of India, to embark on this journey together. We would like to work closely to provide solutions for social issues such as mobility emissions and urban congestion."
