Brazil-based drone distributor Gohobby is preparing to start pre-sales of EHang's 216-S and presented the eVTOL aircraft at an exclusive event at Arena XP in São Paulo, which also featured the first Brazilian astronaut senator Marcos Pontes.
Gohobby has already signed an exclusive import contract with the Chinese manufacturer and is awaiting approval from ANAC to carry out flights in the first quarter of 2024.
CEO Adriano Buzaid says: "eVTOLs are about to revolutionise air transport. Ever since my first drone flight in 2010, I knew this moment would come. EHang's eVTOL is an innovative and safe product that has the potential to transform the way we get around."
Senator Marcos Pontes shares his thoughts on this technological advance: "Here we have something real before us, something that I hope to see soon in the skies, not only in São Paulo but throughout the country. eVTOLs are a practical and sustainable solution to today's urban mobility challenges."
EHang's eVTOL 216-S is capable of transporting two people and hand luggage, covering a distance of 30 km, operating efficiently and safely through a redundant and intelligent control system. With a maximum speed of 130 km/h and very low operating costs, Gohobby is ready to offer short-haul air travel at competitive prices.
