Medilink International has acquired the remaining shares of Malta-based rotary operator Gulf Med Aviation Services. It has been the majority shareholder since the founding of the company in partnership with Qatar’s Gulf Helicopters in 2016. The acquisition of the remaining shares marks a pivotal moment for Medilink International, strengthening its ownership and control over the company. This decision allows for greater integration of resources and services, reinforcing Medilink’s ability to meet the evolving needs of the aviation and assistance sectors.

Gulf Med Aviation Services focuses on the provision of air ambulance and HEMS and, with the completion of this acquisition, Medilink International gains full access to Gulf Med’s assets, capabilities and experienced team, allowing for a more seamless and cohesive approach to delivering medical support services to clients worldwide. The joint services will operate under the Medilink International brand.

“This acquisition represents a significant step forward for Medilink International as we solidify our position in the aviation medical support sector. By acquiring the remaining shares of Gulf Med Aviation Services, we are enhancing our ability to provide unparalleled medical assistance to our clients,” says managing director Simon Camilleri.
