Japan prefectures place orders for Subaru Bells
Japan's Nara Prefecture and Miyazaki Prefecture have signed contracts for two Subaru Bell 412EPX helicopters from Subaru.
The Subaru Bell 412EPX.

Nara Prefecture and Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan have each placed an order for one Subaru Bell 412EPX. The helicopters are scheduled to be delivered by Subaru in 2025 and are expected to be used for firefighting, rescue, emergency medical services and information gathering. These contracts bring the total number of Subaru Bell 412EPX orders in the commercial market in Japan to nine.

The Subaru Bell 412EPX has commonalities with the Bell 412EP model that the Nara and Miyazaki Prefectures currently own and operate. This, therefore, enables smooth introduction and transition by utilising the existing resources. In addition to that, the Subaru Bell 412EPX provides better operational capability and efficiency with improved performance such as extended hover ceiling and increased useful load.
