NevadaAircraft flying into Las Vegas, Nevada's three airports for the 2023 NBAA-BACE will have an opportunity to fuel up with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at Henderson Executive airport (HND), North Las Vegas airport (VGT) and Harry Reid International airport (LAS).
World Fuel Services will provide 40,000 gallons of the fuel at HND, more than double the total of SAF available at the airport for NBAA's 2021 convention, and will also offer the fuel at VGT for the first time. Signature and Atlantic Aviation will have the supply on hand at LAS.
“Providing SAF for aircraft departing from this year's convention not only makes the event more sustainable, but allows NBAA members to take an active role in helping the industry to achieve our net-zero target,” says NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen.
Several Atlantic Aviation FBO locations will provide up to 16,000 gallons of SAF to customers at LAS prior to this year's show. Local SAF will be available to all Atlantic customers throughout the show, and through Book & Claim at Atlantic's Los Angeles (LAX), Long Beach (LGB) and Stockton (SCK), locations in California, via its SAF Marketplace.
The Atlantic Aviation SAF Marketplace enables accounting and verification of claimed SAF purchases and provides customers with emissions reduction receipts as their SAF gallons are dispensed. These receipts summarise key sustainability information and include chain of custody documentation evidencing traceability from fuel production to delivery at an Atlantic FBO.
Atlantic Aviation's industry-leading commitment to sustainability is significant. In addition to the on-going electrification of its ramp vehicles, hangar roof-mounted solar panels in Long Beach and LEED certification of several new hangar structures, the company recently added continuous SAF availability at its locations in Long Beach and Stockton, California. This brings the number of Atlantic Aviation facilities holding local inventories of SAF attributes to nine, with more to come. In addition, the company participates in numerous innovative sustainability efforts locally across its network.
“We are extremely mindful of business aviation's responsibility to combat climate change and work towards a cleaner environment,” says Brian Corbett, chief commercial and sustainability officer. “SAF is jet fuel, and currently it is the most meaningful way to make an impact on aviation emissions. Atlantic is committed to doing our part to drive change with simple and reliable advancements across our network.”
Atlantic Aviation will be exhibiting at NBAA-BACE in the North Hall, booth N6216.
