Pacific Helicopters expects Matane to deliver fresh business
Edward Matane brings an impressive range of skills and experience to the role of CEO at Pacific Helicopters as well as a motivation and enthusiasm that the company feels will be a great asset to the existing team.
Eddie Matane is expected to provide steady leadership.

Pacific Helicopters, a Papua New Guinean provider of helicopter services for the oil, gas, mining, construction and telecommunications sectors, has appointed Edward Matane as its new CEO. Matane has a wealth of aviation knowledge and experience within the country, and a deep appreciation for Pacific Helicopters being a Papua New Guinea home grown aviation business.

He brings an impressive range of skills and experience to the role of CEO as well as a motivation and enthusiasm that the company feels will be a great asset to the existing team. He started his journey in aviation as a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer. Then after a long career with Air Niugini and AirLink PNG within engineering, quality assurance and management, he joined Oil Search for 10 years as the aviation logistics coordinator at Moro.

Matane has described his passion for furthering the opportunities for Papua New Guineans to develop themselves in an aviation business and industry the country can be proud of.
