Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA) has recently invested in an Alsim ALX simulator.

The Alsim ALX provides up to four classes of aircraft ranging from single engine piston, twin engine piston, twin turbine up to medium category twin jet. The device is designed and approved for ATPL, CPL and MCC in compliance with all current regulatory standards. The ALX offers advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to all specific training requirements. In addition, it has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours.

Aydin-based TAFA has set goals for itself to expand its training capacity for professional pilots to meet the increasing need by parent company Turkish Airlines for qualified pilots.

TAFA general manager and associate professor Ibrahim Zeki Akyurt explains: “As a result of our research, we decided to bring in the Alsim ALX simulator, which is suitable for the desired flight training requirements and conditions of TAFA. In terms of its features, we consider that its contribution to the flight training of professional and well-educated pilots will be high and valuable. Our preference was for Alsim as the company offers proven and reliable FSTD models.”

Alsim sales account manager Nicolas Fabriès adds: ”We are very glad to welcome Turkish Airlines Flight Academy, one of the most prestigious flight schools in Turkey, to the Alsim family. It's been a great pleasure to work with TAFA's team, which has identified and selected the ALX as the perfect FSTD to meet its training needs. We are looking forward to installing this ALX in the next couple of weeks at its base in Aydin.”
