MRO provider Heli-One has developed a records digitisation programme for Macquarie which will modernise and streamline technical documentation processes and give back valuable hours of productive time. Macquarie will benefit from Heli-One's experienced team and advanced knowledge of technical records systems to modernise its documentation repository, improve efficiency and mitigate the risk of physical record loss.
Macquarie is a global aviation lessor with an extensive customer and aircraft list. It finances or leases helicopters covering four OEMs and 13 helicopter types. Its customers may require a quick turnaround on aircraft delivery and the need for a nimble and accessible technical records programme was important.
Heli-One will facilitate the digitisation and consolidation of technical records, utilising industry-leading aviation software, and will implement an indexation system for ease of retrieval. Through the programme, Macquarie stakeholders will be able to have real time access to all aircraft records with the benefits of a modern catalogue system (index, sort, filter, flag). Additional programme aspects include aircraft redelivery records support, reviewing records and liaising with the customer and lessor to reconcile issues in advance of technical acceptance.
“Our team is excited to demonstrate their skills on this critical aspect of aircraft maintenance. Efficient and well managed technical records-keeping is extremely important to an organisation such as Macquarie, which relies on these systems to ensure it can be quick and responsive to its customer needs,” says Carolyn Forsyth, general manager of sales, commercial and customer support.
Technical records management is one element offered under Heli-One's latest service offering, Sky Support: a tailored menu of offerings that go beyond traditional MRO support to meet the modern fleet owner's needs in a dynamic aviation environment.
