Keystone Aviation has promoted David Allen to chief operating officer. He will lead the company’s growth, operations, training, safety and flight operations, reporting directly to Randy McKinney, president of parent company Elevate Aviation Group.
“For the past five years, David has leveraged his dedication to safe operations and his experience working for some of the world’s largest airlines to instil processes and strengthen Keystone Aviation’s safety culture,” says McKinney. “He has a proven ability to build and scale programmes in safety and operational excellence with a dedication to building high performance teams. He is an instrumental voice on our senior leadership team. He knows aviation, our culture and Keystone’s customers well, enabling him to scale our operations without sacrificing the customer service excellence for which Keystone is known.” Allen, who first joined Keystone in 2018, is an aviation industry veteran with over 35 years of experience leading various business functions involving operations and safety. He has previously led these activities at TAC Air, Delta, Northwest and US Airways. One of his first initiatives was ushering in Keystone Aviation’s safety management system, positioning the Salt Lake City, Utah-headquartered company as a leader in safety. “Keystone Aviation is known for developing close relationships with its managed aircraft clients and providing tailored solutions for their managed aircraft services,” says Allen. “I have been fortunate to be part of this team providing service excellence since 2018, and I am excited to write the next chapter, growing our operations to support this loyal base of customers throughout the United States.”
