East Midlands airport, UK-based specialist aviation services provider RVL Aviation has signed an agreement with Monte Aircraft Leasing, a zero emissions regional turboprop aircraft lessor, to identify the most suitable zero emission propulsion technology for its operations and to address financing for the conversion of the fleet once this technology is approved and certified. RVL Aviation is committed to reducing emissions from its operations and the company says it is excited to work with Monte on this journey towards zero emission aviation.

RVL CEO Dave Connor has included a strong and ongoing sustainability focus for the company’s strategy. He says: “RVL Aviation is actively looking to the practical benefits of working with Monte, a close partner on our journey to net zero, which will provide technological and financial project assistance. As 2023 unfolds we will continue our series of step changes to reduce our carbon footprint. These include revised operating procedures as well as further development in engineering and innovation. While there is still much to do as an industry, everyone playing their part to change how we operate will move all operators more quickly to sustainable aviation. We shall announce the details of our wider initiatives as they roll out.”

RVL operates and maintains a multi-purpose fleet of aircraft providing services to a range of private and public sector clients and offering expertise in areas as diverse as aerial surveillance and survey, passenger and cargo ad hoc and long-term charter, aircraft management and aerial spraying of pollution dispersants.
