Ecocopter restarts Patagonia heliskiing after successful Cordillera season
Ecocopter has restarted regular flights to Chile's Patagonia region, its pilots flying specially configured AS350 BS and H125s that can drop skiers at the very highest peaks of the Andes.
The Ecocopter fleet gives adventurers access to powder and landscapes far from crowded ski areas.

Heliskiing is an adventure sport in which skiers perform off-piste descents using skis or a board, enjoying virgin snow in places that lifts simply cannot reach. Chile-based rotary operator Ecocopter takes extreme sportsmen and women to unique and inhospitable places in the middle of the mountains.

Specially configured helicopters take adventurers to areas where the powder snow is of a quality impossible to obtain in the country's crowded ski centres. They also get to experience close contact with nature, the beauty of the landscapes and a proximity to the high peaks.

In September, after ending a successful season in Chile's Cordillera Central with South American heliskiing and boarding adventure company Andes Heliboarding, Ecocopter restarted operations in Chilean Patagonia with US adventure travel company Eleven Experience.

"We are very happy to restart these spectacular flights in Chilean Patagonia for heliski lovers, and to be able to provide the best service with regular flights. The season starts the second week of September and ends in late November, so we invite you to enjoy this extreme sport with days of blue sky, dry snow and extensive descents in an impressive terrain surrounded by mountains and landscapes that will remain etched in your memory for life," says Ecocopter commercial manager Francisco Arriagada.

Ecocopter pilots are experts in both mountain flights and heliskiing. "The AS350 B3/H125 helicopters have state-of-the-art equipment that allows them to deliver maximum efficiency in addition to high safety standards, all with the authorisations and certificates issued by the DGAC," adds Arriagada.
