Building on its growth of the past three years and strengthening its positioning in Europe, Swiss-headquartered operator Sparfell has announced its fourth AOC, issued by the Maltese Civil Aviation Directorate on 21 October, 2022. The Sparfell Malta subsidiary was set up in May this year, alongside its Sparfell Espana presence.

Group CEO Edward Queffelec says: “This new Maltese operation builds on our global aviation services network. We are giving business jet owners yet another attractive option for aircraft registration, asset management and commercial operation.

“We already have established offices in Malta, and the first aircraft on our Maltese AOC is a Bombardier Global 6500, now joining our charter fleet of 35 aircraft. We are expecting further aircraft to join the AOC before the end of 2022.”

Transport Malta CAD director general for civil aviation Charles Pace adds: “CAD is very pleased to add Sparfell to the list of 9H AOCs. We look forward to seeing the company grow and add more aircraft and expand its operations. We would like to thank the management and the team at Sparfell for selecting Malta as their preferred jurisdiction for this project.”

Like every entity with the group, Sparfell Malta will deliver the highest safety standards, open communication and efficient administration.

Sparfell Malta managing director Rocio Masip says: “This new certification means our customers now have four AOCs available to meet their specific needs.”

Across Europe, the group’s portfolio also includes AOCs for Austria, France and San Marino.
