US MRO specialist Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems and investment management company NTC Group have appointed Thomas C Foley Jr as chairman of Stevens.

Foley will oversee the operations and growth of Stevens, as well as future acquisitions, as the company continues to expand in the MRO segment. He also serves as a director at NTC Group, one of whose specialities is aviation.

Tom Foley Sr founded NTC Group in 1985 and acquired Stevens in 1989. Having acted as chairman since that time, he is now passing the baton to his son.

Foley Jr’s background includes a BA in economics from Harvard University, and he has spent several years in the automotive industry, specifically focusing on e-commerce software used by several major automotive manufacturers for their in-store and online mobile commerce solutions. He has been an active Stevens board director since 2019, overseeing company direction as well as the development and addition of Stevens’ new MRO facility in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Serving as chairman of Stevens has been an honour and has provided me the opportunity to work for 33 years with outstanding colleagues in an outstanding industry,“ says Foley Sr. “Stevens will benefit from the energy and new ideas a new chairman will bring to serving our customers. I look forward to remaining on Stevens’ board and supporting the company’s new leadership.”
