MaltaComlux has launched Comlux Tech, a cross-functional organisation within the group. The entity will offer customers a wide range of à la carte after-sales services complementing the core activities of the group's aviation, completion and transaction divisions.
Comlux Tech services are deployed into four main activities: technical services, from avionics and cabin upgrades to line and base maintenance including an AOG recovery team; operational services including sourcing of fuel, ground handling and hangarage to sub-charter management and warranty administration insurance handling; consulting services from aircraft selection and appraisals to pre-purchase inspections and entry into service support; and crew services including sourcing and training of flight crew, cabin crew and flight support engineers.
The launch of Comlux Tech is aligned with the latest key programmes in development within the group. First is the all-new ACJTwoTwenty, which will enter in service in early 2023 with Comlux Aviation and will be provided with technical support in service by the Comlux Tech organisation. Next is the launch of the construction of a brand new maintenance and refurbishment hangar at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai World Central airport, which will serve Comlux Tech customers in the Middle East from the end of 2023.
Comlux Group executive chairman and CEO Richard Gaona says: “With the launch of Comlux Tech, the group is now providing the complete luxury aviation service to our customers around the world. Our goal is to develop further the synergies between Comlux Aviation operations, Comlux Transaction expertise and Comlux Completion know-how in VIP cabin engineering and craftsmanship, and to make available our experience to our ACJ and BBJ. I am fully supporting COO Andrea Zanetto, who will implement and lead the Comlux Tech organisation within our group.”
Comlux Completion, based in Indianapolis, Indiana is an approved ACJ and BBJ cabin outfitter, an ACJ service centre, a BBJ warranty and repair facility and the exclusive completion centre of the first 15 ACJTwoTwenty cabins.
Comlux Aviation manages and operates a fleet of 20 VIP aircraft, including 10 Airbus and Boeing jets. Comlux operates commercially under three commercial AOC (Malta, 9H, Aruba P4 and Kazakhstan UP) and at the highest IS-BAO Stage III standards of the industry.
