Heron gains certificate for CAMO
Heron Aviation is even better placed to tackle any likely technical problems now that it has its Part CAMO certificate. This ensures high standards of continuing airworthiness and improvement of quality management.

Germany-based operator Heron Aviation has successfully implemented the newly issued EASA regulation for CAMO approval and has already received its Part CAMO certificate.

In 2021, the new Part Annex 5(C) CAMO was amended in respect of immediate response to a safety issue (CAMO.A.155); management system (CAMO.A.200); internal security reporting system (CAMO.A202); and means of compliance (CAMO.A120).

The document comprises over 100 pages and all changes are included in Heron's CAMO manual. It had already been reviewed and approved by LBA, the German aviation authority, at the end of 2021.

"With the receipt of the new Part CAMO certificate, we can proudly say that we are now even better prepared for all potential technical conditions," says accountable manager Martin Helbing. "The implementation of the EASA regulations is an important and necessary step to underline our qualitative performance. For this I thank our technical department for the smooth and fast implementation."
