As part of its continuing global support for the Dornier 328 fleet, Deutsche Aircraft, formerly known as 328 Support Services, now has access to an EASA-certified Dornier 328 Jet full flight simulator (FFS) Level D. It is currently operational in Germany and available for training. The simulator received certification from the German Federal Aviation Office late last month.

The simulator will be operated by Simulator Training Solution (STS), with whom Deutsche Aircraft also part owns a Do328 turboprop simulator. Do 328Jet training is offered on a fixed rate per hour basis and slots can be booked through a dedicated page on the Deutsche Aircraft website.

“Given the expertise of Deutsche Aircraft in supporting the Dornier 328 fleet over many years, we are proud to partner with it on this project, supporting the training of the next generation of pilots on the Dornier 328,” says STS CEO Jan Hünerfeld.

“It is essential to keep our operators up to date with the latest safety requirements and training, and ensure their flight training even during the current COVID-19 situation regardless of their flying activity," adds Deutsche Aircraft MD Dave Jackson. "Establishing the simulator in Germany is a major step towards simplifying our activities and extending our service offering to our Dornier 328 operators.”

The simulator facility is located in Velbert/Essen, close to Düsseldorf as well as Cologne-Bonn airports.
