State Transport Leasing takes on three Ansats
The multipurpose helicopters of the Mi-8MTV-1 family have unique flight technical and operational characteristics. They will come in handy for STLC, for assignments planned in Bashkortostan.
The Ansat is a light twin-engine multipurpose helicopter, the serial production of which is performed by Kazan Helicopter Plant.

Russian Helicopters has handed over three Mi-8MTV-1 and one Ansat helicopter manufactured by the Kazan Helicopter Plant (KHZ) to the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC). This is the final batch, sold in 2021 under the current contract.

The Ansat helicopter delivered to the customer has replenished the air fleet of TSC JSC and has already arrived in Bashkortostan to carry out assignments. The aircraft is equipped with a medical interior that allows for the monitoring of the patient's condition and the provision of specialised medical assistance on board. The helicopter's transport cabin is designed to carry one patient accompanied by two medical workers. Also, the Ansat helicopter is equipped with seven passenger seats, which makes it easy to transform the aircraft cabin from a medical to a passenger version and vice versa.

“In total, in 2021, STLC received seven Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters and three Ansat helicopters manufactured at the Kazan Helicopter Plant. All rotary-wing aircraft are multifunctional, including being equipped for ambulance missions, which creates new possibilities in using Ansat helicopters in medical aviation. Thus, today two options for medical modules are available to customers; a complex for the transportation of neonatal patients, a transportable isolation unit, an "antique" partition between the cockpit and the transport cabin and other options that improve the use of the Ansat helicopter as an air ambulance,” says managing director of Kazan Helicopters Aleksey Belykh.

In the transport cabin of the delivered Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters, places have also been prepared for the installation of medical modules. One sold Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter will be operated by the Yeltsovka aviation company and another by the Strezhevskoye Aviation Enterprise. One more aircraft was handed over to Converse Avia Airlines. The aircraft have been modified to accommodate additional fuel tanks.

The multipurpose helicopters of the Mi-8MTV-1 family have unique flight technical and operational characteristics. They can be used in almost all climates. The design and equipment of the Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter allows it to be operated autonomously on unequipped sites. The helicopter can be equipped with an external sling for transporting bulky cargo.

The Ansat is a light twin-engine multipurpose helicopter, the serial production of which is performed by Kazan Helicopter Plant. The design of the helicopter allows operators to quickly transform it into both cargo and passenger versions with the ability to carry up to eight people. The Ansat is certified for use in a temperature range from -45 to +50 degrees Celsius, as well as for operation in high mountains. In 2019, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency certified an increase in the fuselage resource of the Ansat light helicopter to 16,000 hp. In February 2020, it certified the installation of an emergency splashdown system on the Ansat. Also, approval has been issued for the main change to increase the resources and service life of the main units of the helicopter, which makes the Ansat helicopter even more attractive to potential customers and increases its competitiveness. At the end of December 2020, the upgraded Ansat-M helicopter made its maiden flight. Updates for this machine are being implemented in stages.
