MT-Propeller's three-bladed prop gains STC on DA-42
The MTV-6 installation means the legacy Diamond DA-42 fleet can enjoy the same modern props as the latest models. And they gain reduced take off distance and improved climb, with no engine modification required.
Diamond DA-42s benefit from the FAA's STC for three-bladed scimitar propellers.

MT-Propeller Entwicklung has received FAA STC SA04681NY for the installation of the new scimitar design three-blade hydraulically actuated constant speed MTV-6-( )-C-F/190-69( ) propeller on the legacy Diamond DA-42 aircraft series powered by two Technify TAE 125-01, TAE 125-02-99, TAE 125-02-114 or Austro 4E-B engines. With this upgrade the original DA42 can feature the same modern propellers as the latest models manufactured at the Diamond factory.

This installation is already certified by EASA STC 10071632 Revision 1 and TCCA Canada. It features the best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration-free propeller operation; no engine modifications; 131 ft reduction in ground roll and take off distance over 50 ft obstacle; 10 per cent improvement in climb performance; and very smooth cruising with two to three kts more speed.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades have no life limitation and are repairable in case of a FOD.
