Antavia has opened the doors to its new 2,500 sqm MRO facility at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, operation has commenced as its team of engineers have transitioned across from the smaller repair shop nearby.
Antavia's new shop is designed to replicate its unit near Toulouse and the launch coincides with the celebration of its 40,000th wheel and brake repair.
CAAC certified and located between the main commercial and business jet hubs of Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Le Bourget airport, Antavia's larger facility also holds its inventory of spare parts, including tyres which it says are valued at over $1 million.
“Proximity to Charles de Gaulle is a huge benefit for aircraft operators and owners,” explains Ismaël Fadili, sales and marketing director. “The move has enabled Antavia to integrate new equipment and further enhance our very short overhaul and tyre change TATs. Being part of the Amekek MRO group means we can invest with confidence, and this not only benefits our European customers, but underpins the expanding support programmes that we deliver for the European operations of US/Canadian airframers.”
“It is our policy to duplicate skills and expertise in our areas of niche expertise,” says Alan Harding, divisional vice president MRO Europe and Asia Amekek MRO. “We have developed a huge depth of experience in the wheels and brakes arena that Antavia will replicate in Asia as we expand our footprint and increase our services in 2022.”
Antivia was integrated into the Ametek MRO Group in 2007.
