Romania's C&I Corporation says that 2021 has been worse than expected, despite a strong start in the first quarter. “We had to perform scheduled maintenance to our EC120B, which was finished by the middle of May,” says flight operations director Eugen Tatu. “But once the aircraft was airworthy again, I began an intense flying schedule, flying roughly every two days. There were business flights, pleasure flights, either in the mountainous areas, by the seaside or around the Danube Delta. These intense flights were good for me as pilot and for the company.

“Now the weather is not so fine and customers prefer to travel by car. I really enjoyed the Danube Delta missions. The most important factor in passing through the pandemic is discipline and promptness in performing the work. Most clients appreciate these two factors. I hope that the pandemic does not impede people for the rest of the year, so that they can do business as well as before.”
