GlobeAir has thrown a closing event during the last days of the Monaco Yacht Show 2021 to celebrate a successful summer for its private aviation operations.

“Summer 2021 has been a great success for business aviation. My GlobeAir DreamTeam had some incredible flight performances, and the great summer spike has not ended with the beginning of autumn. Compared to the past year, GlobeAir has experienced a 33% rise in flights and 52% more new customers,” says CEO Bernhard Fragner. “Demand for autumnal flights is rising both for leisure and business travels. It is encouraging to foresee a busy October for our operations, and we can see already a 23% year on year increase in bookings.”

The COVID-19 pandemic was a turning point for aviation, where the safest companies were often the most successful ones according to Textron Aviation. “With an average of 700 touchpoints on a commercial airline journey against only 20 when flying private and ensuring a 30 time reduction thereof, no wonder business aviation is booming thanks to the trust of its discerning passengers looking for efficient and safe travel solutions,” says vice president of sales for Europe at Textron Aviation, Tom Perry.

GlobeAir's VP of marketing and sales Jonathan Berdoz states, "GlobeAir has seen a 9.1% year on year flight growth in just the month of July, closing off GlobeAir's best summer since it started operating more than 10 years ago.”

Safety and privacy drive customers to choose private aviation the most, leading GlobeAir to add a new aircraft to its fleet while making plans for the future.

Customer interest in carbon offset programmes has doubled since GlobeAir introduced them back in 2019. It is choosing its partners accordingly such as Laneva Boats which provided e-boat transfers from Monaco to Cap Estel exclusively for GlobeAir and Textron's Monaco Yacht Show closing event.

GlobeAir has participated in several major events this year including the Geneva Polo Club closing season Cup; the last edition of the International motor show Germany (IAA) in Munich; the WTA Luxembourg Tennis Tournament; a variety of European F1 and Formula E races across Europe as Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN's private jet partner; and the Monaco Yacht Show 2021.
