CSI Aviation, an Albuquerque, New Mexico-headquartered Part 135 operator specialising in complex aviation operations, is making changes to its senior staff. VP of flight operations Curt Carlson, who has served with CSI since 2017 following a successful career with Delta Airlines, is to retire. CSI's current VP of government services Vince Van Ness will replace Carlson and be promoted to senior VP of flight operations. He has been with the company for five years, having formerly managed operational Defense Department contracts for L3 Communications and a successful military career in the US Army and Coast Guard. Van Ness was inducted into the US Coast Guard Aviation Hall of Fame in August of 2020 for outstanding contributions to aviation earlier in his career.

CSI's CEO Allen Weh states: “The company is grateful for Curt's dedication and guidance in achieving the operational achievements it gained under his watch. We are very pleased to have the level of professionalism in our ranks that Vince Van Ness represents and look forward to CSI's continued growth and expansion of services under his leadership.”
