German operator Heron Aviation is expanding its AOC with the addition of a D-registered Citation Mustang. Upon integration into the fleet, the Heron roster will boast 12 individual aircraft across the short, medium and long haul spectrum.
Positioned at a centrally located base in southern France and benefitting from the economics of the Citation fleet, the jet is poised to offer charter capacity in the Iberian and Mediterranean region. It is the third Mustang under the oversight of Heron Aviation España, the group's Spanish headquarters, and joins the fleet with immediate effect.
Complete with a modern interior, a four-place cabin greets passengers with contemporary finishings along with plentiful natural light and serene noise levels. Add in a range of over 1,800 kilometres and a cruising speed over 600 km/h, and nearly all of southern Europe is only a hop away. Heron's crews are standing by to whisk clients away for a quick Mediterranean weekend or an urgent business meeting.
Heron, with four aircraft incorporated under Article 83 bis, continues to position itself as a leading aircraft operator utilising the cooperation scheme. Accountable manager Martin Helbling says: “As the Spanish side of our company continues to grow and incorporate more aircraft, we have continually refined our relationships with regulators on both sides. As we work closely to develop these agreements, we are uncovering the unique possibilities of this consolidating regulatory environment, allowing us to bring real advantages to our clients. Heron Aviation is helping to drive the cutting edge of European aviation forward.”
