Isle Fly's achievement of reaching 1,000 flight hours on its Beechcraft King Air 250GT series aircraft comes early for the Jersey-based private air charter firm, as it would usually expect to clock up the hours over a longer period of time. By using new aircraft straight from the factory, it remains very active and expects its busiest summer on record in 2021.

The King Air features a corporate interior and is designed for short flights to UK and European destinations, flying into convenient, local airports. The six/seven seat 250GT has more powerful engines for higher and longer trips. With a range of 1,100 miles at 350mph it can cruise at 35,000 ft at speeds comparable to VLJs. The 250GT has six seats plus a discreet lavatory with a belted seat. With more cabin space than some small jets, six people with a generous baggage allowance are easily accommodated in comfort. The extra comfort has been enjoyed on trips not only in the UK, but as far afield as Vagar in the Faroe Islands, Kristiansand in Norway, Innsbruck, Malaga, Sion, Barcelona and the Balearic Islands, with many passengers already converted to the extra space and comfort of the King Air over the small jets.Throughout the global pandemic, Isle Fly has still been in high demand for essential business, repatriation, urgent private travel and COVID support flights between the Channel Islands, UK and beyond. It has continued to build its client base and provide an uninterrupted service for those people or supplies that have needed to travel during a very difficult period.

Commercial director Colin Wright says: “We are incredibly proud of our hard-working team and fleet, especially marking this milestone as we begin to see the reduction in travel restrictions being introduced for the Channel Islands, UK and Europe. We have maintained a strong and reliable business throughout the last few difficult months because our clients have still needed access to travel to maintain the local economy and keep their infrastructure running.”

Isle Fly is a private air charter designed to help speed up transit through airports, remove check-in deadlines, difficult airport connections and inconvenient flight times with a dedicated aircraft to the customer with robust COVID safety processes to provide trips with much reduced exposure. The private air charter service is available for groups of up to eight for charter throughout the Channel Islands, UK and Europe.
