CHC, a helicopter services and MRO provider, has become the first commercial rotary wing operator in Australia to achieve the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority's (CASA), Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) and Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) approvals.

CHC Australia will commence the transition from CAR 42 and CAR 30 to CASR Part 42 and Part 145 organisations in the coming weeks. This transition not only demonstrates CHC's commitment to continuous improvement, but also a unified benchmark to adopt the highest industry maintenance, airworthiness and safety standards across CHC operations. This achievement will support the company in fully aligning to the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) Report 690 for Offshore Helicopter Recommended Practices that came into effect in October 2020.
