Sino Jet group president Jenny Lau attends a signing ceremony and executes a strategic partnership agreement on 22 April.

Chinese operator Sino Jet has entered into a strategic agreement with Sichuan Province Airport Aviation Ground Service and Chengdu's Shuangliu Government to provide a streamlined and hassle-free experience to business jet passengers at the FBO located at Chengdu Shuangliu International airport. The companies are eager to build Chengdu Shuangliu International into the best business aviation hub within the western and central regions of China.

The partnership will combine Sino's business expertise with Sichuan Province Airport Aviation Ground Service's comprehensive ground handling services. The Shuangliu district government's support will accelerate FBO development at Chengdu. All parties will collaborate on unleashing the potential of resource integration, infrastructure construction, and enhancing the quality and efficiency of business aviation operations in Chengdu.

A Sino Jet spokesperson says “We have been managing business jets at Chengdu since 2017. We provide efficient, secure and premium business aviation services to corporate clientele in the south western region of China. Our professional team has extensive experience and knowledge to facilitate this operation.”

Chengdu is the major centre for finance, transport and communications in western China. It topped a list of new first-tier cities in 2020 with GDP of 1.75 trillion yuan, ranking seventh across the country and with an economic growth rate of four per cent. The strong economic growth plays an important role in enabling business aviation development. It has been observed that the passenger traffic of Chengdu Shuangliu International places third in the world. Moreover, active efforts have been made by the government to build an aviation cluster in Chengdu, which will provide powerful support for the development of business aviation.

According to business jet take-off and landing statistics at Chengdu Shuangliu in 2020, Sino Jet accounts for approximately 20 per cent of the total amount. Sino provides a significant contribution to business aviation in the south western market. “We are pleased to have this collaboration and aim to work together, not just technically but also culturally, to reach a common goal in creating a top notch FBO operation in Chengdu,” the Sino Jet spokesperson added.

Sino Jet is dedicated to bringing its group of leading businesses to the region, including aircraft management, air charter, aviation consultation, media forum, aircraft display and air show events to enhance the influence of the Chengdu Shuangliu International. “We aim to contribute further to assist the Sichuan Airport Group and Shuangliu government to enhance the construction of an MRO sector to boost the growth and competitiveness of business aviation in Chengdu,” the spokesperson concludes.
