Finnish operator Nordic Jet Charter has invested in a Cessna 550. The company views the type as a very practical workhorse that provides sufficient performance and range for the intended scope of operations. “So far our C550 has proved reliable and after our investment in an avionics upgrade, it is an up-to-date aircraft for the European area,” says CEO and accountable manager Harri Kekkonen. “We operate charter and ambulance AOC flights under the Nordic Jet Charter AOC. We aim at safe, cost-effective and reliable services for our customers who need a trustworthy parter.”

Nordic Jet Charter is a portfolio company of private equity business Scanfert Group, which operates two business jets in Malaga through iJet. The C550 will be located in Finland and principally deployed for air medical service, extending the company's service portfolio to northern Europe.

Kekkonen continues: “COVID-19 makes planning very challenging. As is the case with all business aviation operators at the moment, over the next few months we will struggle with travel restrictions. Let us go past the next few months and I believe in the autumn we will know how the market will develop.”
