NetherlandsPanta Holdings, a Dutch investment company, has expanded its aerospace footprint by acquiring aviation aftermarket businesses Fokker Services and Fokker Techniek from Fokker Technologies/GKN Aerospace.
Under the new ownership, the companies will continue to invest in technology innovations, advanced processes and engineering excellence to play a leading role in the aerospace aftermarket. The companies will work closely together and are well positioned to capture growth in various aerospace segments in a market changed by COVID-19, with its global facilities in the Netherlands, Singapore and the US.
Customers around the world can continue to rely on the more than 100 years of design, production and maintenance expertise, delivering total support solutions. Fokker Services and Fokker Techniek will be jointly led by two experienced industry executives, Roland van Dijk and Menzo van der Beek.
Fokker Techniek, based at Woensdrecht airport in the Netherlands, specialises in green aircraft completions, conversions, upgrades and refurbishments, both for the VIP aircraft market, including Airbus ACJ and Boeing BBJ, and the special mission aircraft market. Fokker Techniek provides full MRO support to private and commercial aircraft operators including lease transition maintenance, together with extensive capabilities including heavy maintenance, modifications and aircraft painting.
Fokker Services creates tailored solutions for the maintenance of regional, commercial and military aircraft from its facilities in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Panta is a strategic investment company privately owned by Jaap Rosen Jacobson and focused on developing companies that are going through a strategic transformation. The company has significant experience in the aerospace industry. Part of its current investment portfolio is a majority stake (71.2 per cent) in Canadian listed Avcorp Industries Inc, a supplier of airframe components and component repair, and Netherlands Aircraft Company (NAC), a start-up to develop an aircraft based on the Fokker 100 regional jet. Past holdings include several airlines and leading companies including VLM Airlines that was successfully sold to Air France - KLM in 2008.
