UK aeromedical charity Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust has announced that Paula Martin left the position of CEO at the end of February 2021 after 12 years of service to the charity.
As well as growing its operating headquarters at Newquay, CAAT has significantly developed its service levels and patient care, increasing these to more than 1,050 missions in the last 12 months and raising more than GBP2.7 million to help purchase its own Leonardo AW169 helicopter. Martin played a key role in growing all areas of the trust, including the significant retail and volunteering arms.
She says: “I am extremely grateful to every supporter in the community who has helped the trust to grow and develop so it can save more lives. During the last 12 years, I've played a first-hand role in fundraising development for the charity, and I'm committed to remaining an enthusiastic advocate for Cornwall Air Ambulance in the future.”
COO Steve Murdoch has taken over the helm as interim CEO.
