Portuguese business aircraft handling company Safeport has opened a new executive lounge at Cascais airport, near Lisbon.

The lounge has been designed with the purpose of creating a relaxing and at the same time a practical environment for business aviation where guests and crew can spend their time in a refined space filled with contemporary comforts, decorated with the details alluding to the surrounding Atlantic coast region.

The lounge also overlooks the runway, with its elevated position allowing Safeport clients to enjoy views of landings and takeoffs.

Being the largest lounge on site, the facility includes a spacious comfortable seating area with private restroom, smart TV, high speed Wi-Fi and a fully equipped kitchen. Its privileged location is at the entrance of the passenger terminal in Cascais airport, just before the passage to the restricted area. Safeport's multi-lingual, highly-trained staff are available for assistance all year around, 24/7.

Company president Paulo Mirpuri says: “We are all delighted with the response to the new Safeport lounge. There was nothing like it here in Cascais, so it was also a significant milestone for our friends at for Cascais Airport as well as our own design and hospitality team.”

“At Safeport, we are always trying to exceed expectations. The appreciated feedback we have received about the new facility has been extremely positive,” adds Cristina Becken, handling manager. “If a guest or client has a special request, we will do our best to make it happen. From particular newspapers or magazines, freshly cut flowers, personalised catering for dietary or medicinal needs or any other tailored wishes we strive to take care of all of our clients and provide the highest level of comfort and luxury while they are enjoying our cozy lounge.”
