Avflight's Willow Run is out of the starter's blocks
Avflight's latest project at Willow Run airport, scheduled for completion by August next year, includes a 41,745 sq ft complex with two hangars totalling 30,000 sq ft, 7,000 sq ft of office space and indoor parking.
The facility will be adjacent to Avflight's FBO on site.

Avflight has broken ground on a hangar and office complex at Willow Run airport. The development, adjacent to Avflight's FBO on the east side of the airfield, includes a 41,745 sq ft complex with two hangars totalling 30,000 sq ft, more than 7,000 sq ft of premier office space and an indoor parking garage. The complex will be able to house corporate jets of any size.

Avflight expects the project, spearheaded by architect Bowers+Associates and contractor Oliver/Hatcher Construction and Development, to be complete by mid August 2021. Preleasing for hangar and office space is now available.

“We're always looking for opportunities to invest in our industry and the communities in which we operate,” says company representative Garrett Hain. “This new complex at KYIP will allow the Avflight team to better accommodate a growing customer base of corporate jet traffic looking for an ideal location centralised in southeast Michigan between Ann Arbor and Detroit. Our goal is to be their premier gateway with exceptional, accommodating facilities and best-in-class FBO services.”

Looking further into the future, Avflight plans to use the additional land at the construction site to build another 30,000 sq ft of hangar space similar to those under construction.

Avflight operates at strategically-located airports in North America and Europe, specialising in corporate, commercial and military traffic and services. All its locations are part of the Avfuel network, offering the full array of Avfuel fuelling products and services, such as Avfuel Contract Fuel and AVTRIP rewards.
