IBAC responds to COVID-19 by taking audits online
Beginning in April 2020, IBAC will begin providing IS-BAO and IS-BAH workshops virtually, through an internet webinar service, in order to get around the disruption to services caused by the Coronavirus outbreak.

The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) is introducing an online webinar alternative to its programme workshops, as well as offering a new temporary option for remote auditing to its International Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) and International Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) organisations as a result of COVID-19 limitations.

Participating in one of the IS-BAO fundamentals and auditing workshops, typically performed around the world, is one of the requirements to becoming a registered organisation. Beginning in April 2020, IBAC will begin providing these workshops virtually, through an internet webinar service.

Katherine Hilst, IS-BAO operations manager comments: “We are currently testing this new format for the workshops as an alternative to on-site events due to the recent virus constraints. As much as we prefer to work with these operators and auditors to present the workshop in person, this will be a convenient and safe way to continue supporting this curriculum. We will be adding to the webinar schedule and interested attendees can register from our website at ibac.org.”

In addition, IBAC has developed an interim remote auditing option, effective immediately for IS-BAO and IS-BAH registration audits. This temporary option will be provided to qualified organisations to mitigate COVID-19 risks from personal contact with auditors and operators. IBAC audit review processes and policies are unaffected and registered organisations seeking more details may contactIBAC for more information.
