Following investment in parts inventory of more than $1 million, accompanied by additional stock inventoried by Bombardier Business Aircraft, ACI Jet has established a brand new 5,000 sq ft parts depot at its San Luis Obispo Regional airport headquarters. The factory-approved parts depot will serve customers of Bombardier's Global and Challenger business jet brands and features more than 3,000 part numbers, each selected for their frequency and immediacy of need.
Customers of the new parts depot have access to numerous delivery options, including same day delivery throughout much of California based on part(s) availability and time of order. This is enabled by the company's central location on California's coastline, about a 30 minute flight or a three hour drive to Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Next day air service and courier service through preferred carriers are also available from San Luis Obispo. To support the company's partners' AOG or unscheduled maintenance needs, the parts depot is capable of fulfilling orders 24/7/365.
Coupled with ACI Jet's Bombardier authorised service facility (ASF), the new parts depot offers Bombardier owners and operators both savings and efficiencies. Bombardier aircraft undergoing maintenance performed by ACI Jet, either at ACI's repair station or off-site in an unscheduled maintenance event, benefit from having access to parts and technicians within just a few hours.
“Bombardier's support network on the west coast has grown to include full-service light and medium line maintenance and inspections through ACI Jet's authorised service centre,” says senior vice president of aircraft maintenance Dave Jensen. “The addition of a parts depot featuring the most common and mission-critical parts and components for Bombardier aircraft means that its customers have a much wider net of support.”
