Farnborough Airport has appointed Richard Wittels as its new business development manager. Wittels brings to this position over 14 years of experience in the business aviation industry through his work at TAG Aviation UK. He will be responsible for identifying opportunities aimed at further developing the business and will also focus on demonstrating to the industry and customers, the complete portfolio of services and facilities available at the airport.
“We are delighted to welcome Richard to the team as the airport continues to deliver a world-class, bespoke experience for its customers,” says Farnborough Airport CEO Brandon O'Reilly. “We are always looking at ways to further strengthen our position as Europe's leading business aviation airport and Richard's experience and skills will contribute to our ongoing success.”
2019 was another important year of milestones for Farnborough, including the acquisition of the airport by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and a year-on-year increase in air traffic movements of 5.3 per cent for the full year. The airport also hosted a coalition of business aviation organisations from around the globe for the sustainable aviation fuel initiative event, ‘Fuelling the Future’, and was named a winner at the IEMA Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment Sustainability Awards 2019, further underlining the airport's ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable development.
