GlobeAir kick starts new CSER roadmap
GlobeAir is to step up its commitment to the environment with a corporate, social and environmental responsibility-dedicated agenda that will include carbon offsetting options for its passengers.
Bernhard Fragner says GlobeAir has made a flying start to its holistic sustainability agenda.

GlobeAir clients will now be able to offset their carbon footprint when booking private jet flights. “We can't ignore the fact that our actions have a direct impact on the planet,” says CEO Bernhard Fragner. “As a private jet operator, we are conscious of the status of the environment and committed to doing our part. #WeArePlanetA is our journey towards tackling the sustainability discourse at GlobeAir.”

Having previously collaborated with sustainability-conscious partners such as EBAA and AirBP, GlobeAir has now teamed up with the Swiss company carbon-connect AG to provide a choice of sustainable projects, the main ones being forest conservation in Brazil and a combustible mine gas degassing project in Germany.

Passengers can add the offset option as an additional service to their online booking, and the company will issue them with certificates of engagement as well as a yearly update on the projects they have supported.

GlobeAir will also engage in three different core areas that will align it with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Among many of the actions that it is committed to working on in the years to come are SAF or alternative fuel, plastic-free cockpits and cabins, recycling and crew education on sustainability.

The company has set up a sustainability committee, led by marketing manager and One Young World Ambassador Laura Casati and including representatives from all core business units.
