Modesto Jet Center has appointed Otto Wright as general manager. Wright joins Modesto with more than 12 years of experience in the aviation industry, mainly in leadership and business development roles. Most recently, he served as an aviation consultant and business owner. Previously, he served as business development director at Axis Jet in Sacramento, California, general manager for KaiserAir in Oakland, California, and has worked internationally with Far East Russia Aircraft Services (FERAS) and Jetex Flight Support. Before getting into aviation, Wright served in senior management positions with notable technology firms such as Nextel Communications and Sun Microsystems.
“Otto's experience gives our company a unique perspective from the client-side, as well as a vast understanding of our industry and its complexities,” says Modesto co-founder Dan Kimmel. “We are eager for him to move the company forward with a shared vision for excellent customer service.”
“I am excited to join a company with such a strong history in aviation and great history in the Central Valley,” adds Wright. “Modesto is an amazing community, and this airport is a great treasure as a base of operations for all kinds of aircraft and as an easy alternate for the San Francisco Bay area.”
While the FBO welcomes its new manager, the team also looks forward to some aesthetic updates. The FBO, formerly known as Sky Trek Aviation, is being revamped to enrich the already exceptional customer experience. Exterior enhancements and re-branding have already begun since the company was acquired by new owners Matt Bosco and Dan Kimmel in August of 2019. Modesto Jet Center will see a refresh of its customer-centric areas, namely the lobby and pilot lounges, as well as staff offices.
“Our team is excited to come in and give the facility a fresh look,” continues Kimmel. “We have extensive plans for a facility upgrade that will help us better serve our guests, which will go hand-in-hand with the brand refresh.”
