Alsim has won a tender from Ukraine's National Aviation University for the supply of an ALX simulator to be used in the creation of an international pilot training centre. NAU thus becomes Alsim's first customer in Ukraine.
The Alsim ALX FSTD provides up to four classes of aircraft, from single engine piston, twin engine piston and twin turbine up to medium category twin jet (generic B737/A320). The device is designed and approved for ATPL, CPL/MCC and JOC in compliance with all current regulatory standards. The ALX offers advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to users' specific training requirements. In addition, it has a track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save hours.
“It's a great honour for Alsim to be chosen as a simulator provider by National Aviation University,” says Anna Lezoray, Alsim's sales account manager. “The ALX will enable NAU to continue delivering the excellent pilot training it has provided since the early 1950s. The ALX's specifications, which fully comply with EASA regulations for FNPT II MCC simulators, will assure NAU's readiness for Ukraine's upcoming integration with EASA countries.”
Polish flight school Smart Aviation, based at Poznan Lawica International airport, has also purchased a simulator from Alsim: an AL250. The ATO has already been operating an ALX, FNPT II MCC simulator, which was certified on April 2017 and has reached more than 5,500 hours since then.
The AL250 is a generic and compact simulator for single and multi engine piston (SEP/MEP reconfigurable) PPL, CPL and IR training. With more than 30 devices installed worldwide, the AL250 has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours.
CEO and HT of ATO Mateusz Dzialynski explains: “Our decision to purchase the new simulator was determined by huge demand for aviation training but also the opening of a new base in Zielona Gora International airport. Our students are successful in applying for jobs at airlines thanks to the very high standard of aviation training provided by our experienced flight instructors.”
Dzialynski, who also works as airline pilot on a Boeing 737, understands the global needs for hiring pilots and helps students to meet the highest requirements of the aviation market. “The purchase of Alsim simulators was a giant leap for Smart Aviation, enabling us to become one the biggest flight schools in Europe offering students complete training programme from Zero to ATPL including MCC and JOC training.”
Alsim has also sold two AL250 simulators to Select Aviation College, a Canadian flight training organisation located in Quebec. The AL250s, reconfigurable between several classes of piston aircraft, are scheduled to be used heavily in the initial stages of growing Canadian flight school's pilot training. The devices will be delivered with Alsim's new VFR visual system and other latest technologies, fully immersing the student and thereby improving the learning experiences.
“Having incorporated the Alsim ALX into our integrated flight training programmes and MCC training, combined with a responsive Alsim team, it was a pleasure and an easy choice to return to the company,” says president Patrick Richardson. “Now with a growing group of students, and launching a second location, we very much look forward to receiving the high fidelity and reliable AL250s and expanding our simulator fleet.”
One AL250 is scheduled to be delivered for Select's Drummondville headquarters by the end of the year, and the second to its Gatineau location in Q2 of 2020.
