Maintenance partnership to benefit EMEA customers
Av-Reps MRO is extending its repair and overhaul reach across much of EMEA thanks to a partnership with Malta-based maintenance company Medavia.

Av-Reps MRO has appointed Mediterranean Aviation, better known as Medavia, as its official services representative covering Africa, the Middle East and southern Europe.

Vice president Al Budgell says: “We are proud to partner with an organisation such as Medavia, which has shown outstanding MRO support and knowledge in the regional aircraft sector. Its location and existing relationships will allow us to work together to further offer our component repair and overhaul services and landing gear support programmes to its customers. Av-Reps looks forward to growing our relationship with its team in the years to follow.”

Under the terms of this agreement, Medavia will have the ability to support its existing fleet as well as offer the same services to its customers with component repair and overhaul conducted by Av-Reps MRO. Medavia will also have access to existing exchange components, landing gear lease pools and 20 years of regional aircraft support experience.

Av-Reps MRO is a Canadian provider of quality component R&O for Dehavilland regional aircraft, the DCH8- 100/200/300 and 400. It also supports the CRJ, CL601, CL604 and Global Express fleet types as well as components on the Boeing and Airbus aircraft types. In house overhaul and repair capabilities include landing gear, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components, and the company holds Transport Canada, EASA and various other approvals.

Since 1978, Medavia has established and operated line maintenance stations inclusive of technical support in the field under normal and AOG situations. Through its MRO facilities, branded as Medavia Technics, it is able to offer heavy base maintenance, full refurbishments and modifications and painting jobs at its hangar facility in Malta. The company has its own fleet of aircraft and runs charters to and from the remote airfields of the oil and gas industry.
