UK-headquartered charter platform PrivateFly, a Directional Aviation company, has launched its first fixed rate routing in the US. This summer the company is offering cross country charter of the eight-seater Challenger 300 for $29,000, between New York City and either Los Angeles or Bay Area airports.
The rate is for a one-way flight in either direction, for flights departing before 30 September, 2019 at specified airports on each coast. According to PrivateFly, this represents a 30 per cent discount on usual market rates for an aircraft of equivalent standard.
Exclusive fixed pricing is becoming a growing differentiator in PrivateFly's offering, following the success of its 'City Pairs' fixed price programme in Europe which launched in April. This offers fixed pricing on the Nextant 400XTi and Legacy 600, starting from 4,500 euros between London and Paris.
CEO Adam Twidell comments: “Having doubled in size in the past year, we have been able to leverage our greater buying power and both our group and wider industry relationships to provide charter clients with innovative, exclusive deals they can't find elsewhere. By committing to bulk aircraft hours in advance on specific routes that are operationally efficient, PrivateFly can fix prices at lower-than-usual rates, and guarantee to keep them that way.
“Our City Pairs programme in Europe has been a big hit with clients and we're expecting our first fixed rate in the US to be similarly popular. Usually on demand charter pricing is dynamic and subject to several market variables. But for these routes and aircraft, the price is fixed during the offer period, and is at least 30 per cent lower than usual market pricing for an equivalent aircraft.”
The price of $29,000 is for one-way charter between the specified airports and includes all taxes and fees, standard catering and wi-fi on board.
