Guernsey-based Pula Aviation Services has appointed 20-year industry veteran Brian Jones within its aircraft sales business. With a background that has involved the ownership and operation of a variety of business aircraft types as well as gaining both a fixed wing and rotary pilot licences, Jones is a specialist in the sale and acquisition of large, long range business aircraft.
“Brian's aviation experience, customer focus and depth of knowledge supports the positioning of our aircraft sales and acquisition activities into larger cabin business aircraft. He is respected and connected in the industry, and we are pleased that he will be representing Pula in the market to help advance new business opportunities and support our growth,” says business development director Howard Povey.
Himself a recent appointment, Povey is focussed on the growth of Pula's aircraft sales and aircraft maintenance arms, as well as expansion opportunities that exist within the business aviation sector.
The restructuring of group businesses Centreline and ASG saw former Centreline CEO Tanya Raynes assume the position of non-executive chair of Pula Aviation. She was replaced by incoming CEO Gus Paterson, previously director of civil aviation for the Channel Islands who oversaw the successful development of Guernsey's aircraft registry. Prior to that he held a variety of operational and management roles at UK air traffic services provider NATS. As well as holding a UK air traffic controller's licence, he has an LLB from BBP Law School and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
