Part 145 approval for Global 7500 awarded to LBAS
EASA has given the OK to Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services to perform line maintenance services and AOG services for the Global 7500 from its hangar at Berlin Schoenefeld in Germany.
LBAS has received EASA Part 145 line maintenance approval for Global 7500 aircraft.

While Bombardier is delivering its Global 7500 to the first customers, Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) is ready to offer services for the industry's largest and longest-range aircraft. EASA has granted LBAS the approval to perform line maintenance services at its home base in Berlin Schoenefeld. Moreover, LBAS can offer AOG services at any location worldwide for the Global 7500 business jet.

“With the EASA approval for Bombardier's new flagship aircraft, we can now meet the needs of our clients and we can support them during the entry into service phase,” says LBAS head of sales and marketing Clemens Schrettl.

“In the near future we will be able to offer the complete range of line and base maintenance services for this aircraft type,” adds CEO Sascha Leitner. “Our hangar in Berlin Schoenefeld already has four maintenance bays capable of receiving the Global 7500. Furthermore, our NDT, battery and wheel shops are prepared to handle the extra requests."

LBAS is a full-service MRO provider in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. With 250 qualified personnel, it provides support for operators of Bombardier Global, Challenger and Learjet business aircraft.

The service spectrum encompasses maintenance and overhaul services (line and base maintenance) such as routine inspections (engines, fuselage, APU) along with VIP cabin modifications and conversions. A mobile repair party is available to customers around the clock.
