Chantilly technicians honoured by FAA
Chantilly Air plans to open an FBO next year, and receiving the FAA Diamond Award proves that its MRO team is continuing to meet high standards. Each and every technician was required to exceed FAA criteria.

Washington DC-based Chantilly Air's maintenance team has been awarded the FAA Diamond Award of Excellence for Aviation Maintenance Technician training for the fifth consecutive year.

The award recognises the company's commitment to excellence and professionalism, as 100 per cent of Chantilly Air's maintenance technicians were required to exceed training requirements provided by the FAA to meet the award criteria.

Led by Jeff Windham, Chantilly's director of maintenance, the company's Part 145 repair station team services airframes and engines of most major turbine aircraft manufacturers including Bombardier Learjet, Cessna, Gulfstream, Falcon and Hawker Beechcraft, as well as piston and turboprop aircraft such as Piper, Twin Commander and King Air. In addition, the company's FAA 145 repair station performs other maintenance services and inspections at its Manassas headquarters.

“We are thrilled to have the FAA recognise the talent and hard work of our maintenance team,” says COO Tim Sullivan. “We are dedicated to providing the highest level of service through each of our aviation business offerings, especially as we expand our business to be a fixed base operator in the next year.”
