Heli-Union extends French frontiers with Guyana contract
Heli-Union's energy operations are conducted responsibly, with attention to minimising environmental risk and providing transparency, according to deputy MD Jonathan Cosson. Cayenne in French Guyana is fresh territory.
Two medium helicopters will be used for exploratory work off the coast of French Guyana.

French operator, maintenance and training organisation Heli-Union has been awarded a contract to open a new base in Felix-Eboué airport in Cayenne, French Guyana, where it will provide helicopter transport and 24/7 medevac services.

The operation commenced at the beginning of December 2018 and is expected to complete in 2019. Heli-Union is supporting its client's exploratory work off the coast of French Guyana using two medium helicopters as primary and back-up units.

Deputy MD Jonathan Cosson says: “As a French helicopter service provider, we are proud to operate within French overseas territories and to contribute to the development of the French energy industry. This includes conducting operations responsibly while constantly seeking to minimise environmental risk with full transparency.”

The two helicopters were transported using an II-76 from Heli-Union’s base in Cameroon, to its location at Felix-Eboué airport in Cayenne.
