Valcora expands network to North America
In its inaugural year of operation Valcora established a presence in Europe and the Far East. The company is now taking its digital fuel purchasing platform to the North American market.
Newly appointed Valcora director Americas Nigel Harris with CEO Daniel Coetzer.

Switzerland-headquartered fuelling service Valcora has opened its first North American office, which joins its global network of operations in Switzerland, Ireland and Singapore. Additional locations in the USA and South Africa are also scheduled to begin by mid-2019.

Valcora believes its experience in handling the complexities of EU fuelling taxes will be of particular benefit to North American operators flying to the EU. Its digital purchasing platform is designed to ensure customer tax obligations are correctly and fairly calculated to optimise operating budgets, and it has already received interest from local North American operators seeking fuel support for global operations.

Nigel Harris, who has worked in the aviation sector for 20 years with Valcora founders Daniel Coetzer and Valerie Bouthiaux, has been appointed director Americas. His responsibilities include customer support for US clients, expanding the customer base and generating new business partnerships. “I am delighted to be part of the team,” he says. “Valcora's focus on customer service goes above and beyond, which is why we are one of the industry's fastest growing aviation fuelling companies.”

CEO Coetzer goes on to say: “Our global sales have risen dramatically over the last 12 months thanks to our excellent team, our easy-to-use online platform, fiscal VAT expertise and our transparent pricing. We know the North American market is one of the most important business aviation sectors and look forward to delivering our service here.”

Valcora's fuel purchasing system is used by a number of the world's largest business aviation operators, including Luxaviation. “As we venture into North America we are extremely well positioned with a fantastic team, a local presence, intelligent technology and strong buying power which we can leverage to benefit all our customers,” adds Coetzer.

Founded in 2017 by Coetzer and general manager Bouthiaux, Valcora's digital fuel purchasing platform combines pricing transparency, a fuel card and a team of multi-lingual 24/7 account managers, supported by an in-house team, to enable real time fuel quotes and purchasing around the globe as well as offering support for fiscal administration.
