Portuguese academy selects Alsim flight simulator
Despite its name, the Aeronautical Web Academy provides training rooted in the real world. Now its aircraft fleet is to be supplemented by the addition of a new training simulator.

Aeronautical Web Academy (AWA) has purchased an Alsim AL250 flight simulator for its flight training school located near Lisbon airport, Portugal. The simulator is due to be delivered in April 2019.

The AWA board of directors explains: “We were looking for a state-of-the-art simulator with excellent reliability. So we became interested in Alsim's products, which we expect will meet all our training requirements.”

Nicolas de Lassus, Alsim's sales account manager, adds: “We are very excited to welcome AWA as our latest customer in Portugal. Adding an AL250 flight simulator will enable the school to provide the most advanced level of training for not only the Portuguese market but also internationally.

“By the way, we are also delighted to now have five customers in Portugal, a good sign of the health of Portuguese flight training and a proof of confidence and recognition of Alsim's work and product quality.”

AWA is an aeronautical training school established in 2008. Currently it has courses in pilot training and flight operations, and an aircraft fleet operating from two aerodromes, Cascais and Évora.
